Healing on the Albany 2010

3rd Annual Healing on the Albany at
Wilderness North's Lake Miminiska Lodge

Join us as we celebrate PHWFF and PHWFF Canada
in the Boreal Forest of Northwestern Ontario
For the third year the good people at Wilderness North have invited the US and Canadian troops back for a dream fly in fishing trip to the unspoiled wilderness of the Albany River system.

Ten US and Canadian soldiers will fly fish for savage pike, massive brook trout and cooperative walleye during this five day adventure up north. Krista and Alan Cheeseman first invited PHWFF up for the adventure in 2008. We were very moved because as a Canadian company they invited our US soldiers on this dream trip. We took it upon ourselves to track down some Canadian participants and the first truly international PHWFF event was born.

Now PHWFF Canada is up and operational and the event has taken on even more meaning. In 2009 the number of US and Canadian troops were evenly matched and the bonds made during that trip continue. It was an exciting and moving event.

There is a neat twist on the 2010 event. You are invited to join us! The guests who happened to be in camp during the 2009 event enjoyed the company of the soldiers so much that we decided to make this a fund raiser as well as an adventure. A percentage of your trip will go directly to support this event and the servicemen and women of PHWFF and PHWFFC. There is nothing like fishing with PHWFF and PHWFFC!

You can contact Mark Snyder (mark@projecthealingwaters.org) or visit wildernessnorth.com to find out more about attending the 2010 event which will be held July 15th through the 20th.
