PHWFF Alaska took fourteen program participants on a trip to fish for rainbows and Dollies on the Kenai River near Sterling on September 17th. Although it was chilly during the morning hours, it was an awesome warm and sunny day that started with a beautiful sunrise on Skilak Lake as the guides glided the drift boats across a mile of the Lake to reach the Kenai River and the fishing action. All participants had the thrill of landing lots of bows and Dollies plus a few spent Reds and some fresh Silvers as well as one whitefish and one steelhead! It was a truly spectacular day! The photo below shows the group posing with trip host Bob Rima of Kenai River Drifter’s Lodge and his guides Austin, Evan, Hunter, and James.

Jan Schnorr coordinated this trip along with the help of Frank Stevens and Duane McHenry. A special note of thanks goes out to businesses and guides who helped to sponsor and support the trip including Kenai River Drifter’s Lodge and Sacketts Kenai Grill.
