A presentation of the PHWFF mission, along with a fly tying demonstration, was given to six disabled veterans from the Pain Clinic at the VA Medical Center in Tuskegee, Alabama on January 19, 2017. (Tuskegee is the home of the famous and heroic Tuskegee Airmen!)

Richard L. Pike, Auburn AL Program Lead, provided an explanation of the benefits of being a participant of PHWFF.  The group was really enthused to find out that all privileges extended to participants were at no cost. The highlight of the event was their enjoyment of watching a Glass Minnow Fly being tied right in front of them.  After the event, four of the veterans decided to become participants in our program.

The Auburn, AL Program would like to thank Ms. Janelle Howard, VA Recreational Therapist, for setting up this event.  We also want to thank the VA Pain Clinic personnel who provided the space and time.
