William Peck has dedicated his career to serving others and community. He is the son of a military career father who served 27 years with the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He was born in Germany, along with a sister, and lived in various duty locations before his father retired.
He has 30+ years of fundraising experience, raising over $500 million to support various nonprofit organizations. His roles included terms as executive director of SAFE Place, a domestic violence and sexual assault services organization, the United Way of Northwest Michigan, the United Way of Larimer County, CO, and Senior Vice President of Resource Development for the United Way of the Greater Triangle, NC, and recently as the Director of Global Corporate Relations with United Way Worldwide. He also founded and served as President of a successful consulting practice serving nonprofits throughout the southeast.
His experience includes organizational leadership, annual and capital fundraising, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, grant writing, research, donor stewardship, endowment building, public speaking, marketing and communications, strategic planning, volunteer engagement, and project management. William has served on various local and national boards and as a mentor and teacher.
We are pleased to have William join Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing as the Chief Development Officer. He currently lives in Northern VA with his wife and will soon be relocating to Southern Maryland. He has a BA from Albion College and a MSW from Western Michigan University. William enjoys reading, exercise, outdoor adventures, music, volunteerism, and spending time with his four children.
