The 2017 PHWFF Colorado Springs program rod builders took to Rainbow Falls Mountain Trout to put their newly finished fly rods to work casting to the abundant fish available on the property.   The PHWFF Rod Building Program and Competition gives our veteran participants the experience of building their own fly rods to further their physical and mental rehabilitation through the sport of fly fishing.  It is a way for them to further showcase the skills and creativity garnered from program classes, meetings, and independent study in a casual, fun program.  Our congratulations to the Colorado Springs rod builders and we hope you enjoyed the great fun of catching fish on a rod you crafted!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Bob Woodruff Foundation, we have been able to provide this great rod building program to a record-setting number of PHWFF participants in 2017.

There are 98 PHWFF Programs throughout the United States taking part!  With over 800 participants involved, it is the largest number ever to be enrolled in this annual program.
